What Is The Number 1 Secret To Making Your Internet Marketing Business Successful?

| Posted in Internet Marketing, List Building

You’ve seen it happen! A relatively unknown business sky rockets to the very top without even a glance back.

Is it the case that the services and/or products they offer are that much better than all of their competitors or, is it more likely that they have uncovered some secrets that their competition has not discovered?

I think you will agree with me that it is more likely to be the latter rather than the former that boosts any business to the top of their category.

When any business has a large enough marketing budget and they conduct the right kind of research, they soon uncover the secrets.

They discover that the number one secret is:

Getting the customer or consumer to keep coming back for more. That is where the focus of every penny of their marketing budget needs to be.

These successful businesses soon learn to use every cent of their marketing budget, whatever size it is, to make sure their customers always have a reason to come back for more and more and more.

I’m sure you have seen the commercials for the “next big blockbuster Hollywood movie.” The trailers of these movies are designed to do a couple of things.

  • Number 1, obviously, they will make sure that the images of their major stars are crafted and packaged in a way to attract the most attention.
  • Number 2, the movies producers will make sure to promote the scenes that will appeal to their audience on an emotional level.

To put it simply, they know that emotions sell.

When your businesses’ advertising reaches people on an emotional level, they react. Those reactions will be similar to these:

  • They will purchase your product.
  • They will want to use your product.
  • They will spend money on your product.

I want to point out that being able to appeal to emotions thru your marketing efforts is not as easy a task to get the hang of as you might think.

If you want your results to be noticeable, you need to carefully cultivate your customer list, and then take the right approach.

People running successful businesses have figured out how to get this done. With research and practice of the correct techniques, you too can begin enjoying similar results.

Hey Byron,

Nice post. You’re so right that it is vital to connect with the emotional needs of the customer rather than simply documenting the product features.

Hey John,

That’s it. You need to show them how it will benefit them. If you can get them to start internalizing those benefits of your product your sales will skyrocket.
Thanks for dropping by.

Byron,

Great Post!

So, in order to get people to buy from you, it is important to appeal to their emotions, to stir something within them to act. I like it!

Mike

Hi Mike,
Thanks for stopping by.

It is about relationship building to create trust and then getting your customers emotionally involved with you or your product or service.
Sometimes easier said than done, but certainly the goal.

Byron,

Great post however, be careful on thinking like this…

“Is it the case that the services and/or products they offer are that much better than all of their competitors or, is it more likely that they have uncovered some secrets that their competition has not discovered?

I think you will agree with me that it is more likely to be the latter rather than the former that boosts any business to the top of their category.”

I’ve never seen a company be able to hide its secrets for more than about 24 hours.

The number one priority of any business person is to reverse engineer their competitors product or service offerings as fast as can be.

Its really all about goal setting and then doing whatever it takes to get there.

That’s the secret.

Speak soon,

Rob

Hi Rob,
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my post.

I agree that it takes planning and doing whatever it takes. As always, you have a way of putting things into perspective for me. and I appreciate all input I get that helps me in chiseling out my portion of online marketing opportunities.

I also think that customer retention, or loyalty, or continuity, whatever you want to call it, is another important factor in growing and maintaining a successful business.

All I have to do now, is put all of that into practice more often.

Best Regards,
Byron
